Colin Osborne and Geert de Vos took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Connor Scutt in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
Osborne, who entered Group C having finished 4th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Stuart Kellett, Karl Coleman, Ricardo Ham, Tom Cromwell and Steven Jamieson, to sit on 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Stuart Kellett ended the day in 2nd on 8 points, whilst three players in Steven Jamieson, Tom Cromwell and Karl Coleman sit 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on 4 points each, with Ricardo Ham sitting bottom on 0 points having suffered five straight defeats.
In Group B, Geert de Vos took the early lead, after winning three of his four matches, as he recorded victories against Fallon Sherrock, Ashley Coleman and Ron Meulenkamp, with his only defeat coming against Tony O’Shea, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Ashley Coleman also ended the evening on 6 points, but sits in 2nd behind De Vos on leg difference, whilst Fallon Sherrock sits in 3rd on 4 points, with Ron Meulenkamp and Tony O’Shea sitting 4th and 5th respectively on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Connor Scutt in Saturday’s finale, with Osborne and De Vos taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
