Scutt Sights Champions Week Finale Qualification

Red Dragon Darts

Connor Scutt moved to the top of the table on Tuesday, after winning three of his five matches on Day Two. The Sniper looks favourite to secure his place in Saturday’s Champions Week finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.

Scutt, who entered Tuesday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group A, won three matches from five to move top of the table, as he recorded victories against Thomas Banks, Jimmy Van Schie and Marvin Van Velzen, with his two defeats coming against Tom Sykes and Neil Duff, to sit on 12 points from a possible 20 thus far.

Elsewhere, Marvin Van Velzen and Tom Sykes are also sat on 12 points each, however the pair sit 2nd and 3rd respectively behind Scutt due to leg difference, whilst Neil Duff and Jimmy Van Schie sit 4th and 5th on 10 points each, with Thomas Banks sat bottom on 4 points.

The Modus Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Champions Week Finale, with Scutt leading the way thus far.

Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups during Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray. Play will begin at 9:30am BST on Wednesday and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
