Double Trouble 3: Gates Opens Strongly

Leonard Gates took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning three of his five matches, with the third edition of Double Trouble Week commencing at the Modus Super Series.

The American, who last appeared at the Super Series during Week Six of Series Ten last week, made an immediate return by taking the early lead in Group A, after winning three matches from five.

‘The Soulger’ recorded victories against Simon Whitlock, Neil Duff and Steve Beaton, with his two defeats coming against Robert Thornton and Andreas Harrysson, to sit on 6 points from a possible 10 thus far.

Elsewhere, Andreas Harrysson and Robert Thornton also ended the day on 6 points each, but sit 2^nd and 3^rd respectively behind Gates on leg difference, whilst the remaining three players in Steve Beaton, Simon Whitlock and Neil Duff sit 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively on 4 points each.

The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Gates leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
