Over the past weekend, Target Darts delightfully shared the success of its inaugural 24-hour darts livestream, in support of Alex TLC (The Leukodystrophy Charity). The event raised an impressive £10,737, with Target matching the total – bringing the final donation to a remarkable £21,474.
Kicking off at 3 pm BST on Friday, July 11, and running non-stop for 24 hours, the livestream was hosted by the ever-energetic InTheMudSports and brought together a dynamic mix of professional players, digital content creators, and darting fans.
The ambitious challenge? To reach a cumulative score of 1,000,001 points before the clock ran out. Thanks to a collective effort, the milestone was hit – and then some.
Throughout the stream, viewers were treated to thrilling performances from well-known pros like Scott Williams and John O’Shea, alongside popular online personalities. Between treble-hitting action and charity-driven games, the event offered a perfect blend of entertainment, fundraising, and community spirit.
But beyond the numbers and the banter, the heart of the event was firmly rooted in its cause. All funds raised will support the vital work of Alex TLC, a charity dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by leukodystrophies – a group of rare, degenerative disorders that primarily affect the central nervous system.
This ground-breaking initiative marked a powerful first for Target Darts – combining the thrill of the sport with real-world impact. Afterwards, a Target Darts Spokesperson said:
“This event went above and beyond expectations. We couldn’t have done it without the brilliant talents of InTheMudSports, our passionate staff, and of course – everyone who tuned in, donated, or threw a dart.”
“The total raised will go directly towards helping families facing the daily realities of these life-altering conditions, with Target’s donation doubling the difference made. To everyone who played a part, shared the stream, or simply watched along – thank you.
“It’s now time for a well-earned rest for all involved, but the impact of this event will last far beyond the final checkout.”
