In his inaugural season in the Amblecote RBL Premier League, Jason Lowe (pictured) is well on course to scoop the title as his latest 5-2 win over Rhys Cox took his points tally to 318 from forty-seven games and gives him a lead of eighteen points plus a game in hand on second in the league Nick Fullwell who didn’t play this week.
Third in the league Paul Wells lost ground as he played and lost two games this week, first he took on Matt Davies and lost 4-3 and then squared up to Michael Harding and once again lost by the same margin to leave him on 291 points from forty-seven games. Fifth in the league Cayden Smith has only played forty-three fixtures and although his 271 points are forty-seven fewer than leader Lowe he has four games in hand which could well see him climb further up the table.

League Cup week in the Sheldon and District Summer League, round one in which group one leaders Raven Arrows handed out a 7-0 whitewash to their hosts Sheldon Marlborough Ridge from group three. Group one’s second team Langley Arrows were not far behind Raven with their 6-1 success at group two side RAFA with Dan Nicholls chalking up a maximum for the winners. Trident Spears (group one) beat their group four hosts Sheldon Marlborough Flights 4-3 with Connor Cupkovic hitting a 180 for the home team.
In a group one versus group three clash, once again it was the top grouped team that came out on top as Highwood won 6-1 against Shirley Misfits. The remaining group one team Brian’s Flights lost 4-3 at home to group two leaders Banbury Club. The all group two encounter saw Smithswood Social Club just get the 4-3 edge on their opponent’s EBAHA with Lewis Franklin notching a maximum for Smithswood. Hunters Moon who are bottom of group two lost 5-2 at Raven who are second in group three. The all group three fixture between Moseley Rugby Club and Langley Flights was again a close encounter with the former booking their place in the next round with a narrow 4-3 victory.

The Harborne and District League had the semi-finals of their League Cup and Consolation Cup on the fixture card, in the former despite a maximum from A.Heath, Weoley Castle WMC made their exit as they finished on the wrong side of the 5-2 result against Copper Fox ‘R’. Joing Copper Fox ‘R’ in the final will be Weoley Castle Pub who were awarded their game with Northfield Conservative Club.
In the last four games of the Consolation Cup a maximum from A.Harvey helped Copper Fox ‘M’ to a 6-1 win over Thimble Mill while Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club had a closer 4-3 success against Lion Bar.

The Camp Hill League played their singles knockout down to the last eight players at Cotterills Lane EBAHA Club and making the quarter-finals were James Taylor, Dan Davis, Jason Jennings, Dave Shakespear, Neil Parsonage, Dean Harrison, Thomas Allcott, Craig Plester.
On the league front leaders Wakefield Warriors took their unbeaten run to five games with a 6-1 home win over Sheldon Marlborough Devils, keeping intact their two points lead on Clumsy Swan who won by the same 6-1 margin at home over Diggity’s Bar. Third placed Cotterills Lane EBAHA Club were awarded a 4-0 walkover against New Inn leaving them on six points, four off the top but they have played one game more than the two teams above them and also one more than fourth placed Diggity’s Bar who are level on six points with them.

Prior to the latest fixtures in the South West Birmingham Clubs League, Northfield Darts Club topped the division one table with Northfield Conservative Club ‘B’ second, however game six matched the two teams together and the outcome was a close 4-3 win for the home team Northfield Darts Club to see them open up a four points lead at the top of the table while their opponents dropped two places to fourth on six points, six fewer than the leaders. Stirchley United move up one place to second with eight points after their 5-2 win at Northfield Conservative Club ‘A’, third placed Quarry Lane Club on the same eight points following their 4-3 win at Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club.
In division two Longbridge United lead the way with ten points, their latest fixture seeing them hand out a 7-0 whitewash to their hosts Moseley All Services Club to keep them two points to the good on second placed West Heath CEM, who with a 160 break from their R.Crawford won 4-3 at home against Bartley Green FC.
In the pre-match doubles leagues Northfield Darts Club lead the division one table with seventy-six points, fourteen more than second placed Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club, Longbridge United top division two with sixty-six points and have a lead of eighteen over their nearest rivals Bournbrook.

There has been a change of leaders in the Heartlands Sugardarts M&E Co Double Top League this week after former leader Martin Cooper lost 2-1 to John Burdett before winning by the same margin against Charlie Rogers to put him on sixty-eight points from twenty-nine games. Steve Cain, who was previously placed second won 3-0 against Ryan Barritt aand Stephen Smith to give him a total of sixty-nine points, one more than Cooper and from the same twenty-nine games. Third placed Matthew Cain didn’t playthis week and with four games in hand on the two players above him is only seven points off the top of the table.
Highlights this week saw John Frost and Adam Rogers both record 160 breaks.

The Stourbridge and District Monday Night League are up to game twenty-three and the top two teams in the league are both on forty points. A convincing 7-0 win at Ten Arches ‘B’ sees Gornal British Legion hold on to pole position having played twenty-two fixtures, while second placed Old Liberal Club trail on average but are on the same number of points but with a game in hand after having a bye this week. Third placed Ten Arches ‘A’ are only two points short of the two teams above them after they added a 4-3 win at Gigmill to their account. Fourth in the league Glasscutters ‘A’ are a further two points adrift after they had a 6-1 home win over Glassworks.
In their 5-2 win at Ashwood, Five Way’s player B.Watts recorded an eight darts game.
In the Shadow League Raven ‘A’ have had four wins in their four games and their perfect eight points gives them a two points advantage over Queens Head who are also unbeaten but have only played three games and in turn are two points better off than third placed Gigmill.

The semi-final of the League Cup in the Silver End Sunday Morning League brought together two of the top three teams when league leaders Old Star squared up tothird placed Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club, the result a 5-3 win for Old Star. Second in the league Dudley Sports ‘A’ had a much more comfortble 7-1 win over Union.
The Shadow Cup semi-finals saw eighth placed Old Liberal Club win 6-2 against Brickmakers Arms who are sixth in the league table. Joing Old Liberal Club in the final will be Everest Cottage who won 5-3 against Dudley Sports ‘B’.

Chop House took their undefeated run in the Stourbridge and District Wednesday Night League to eight games when they won 5-2 at home against Stourbridge FC ‘B’ giving them a lead of two points over second placed Stourbridge FC ‘A’ who had a tough home tie with third in the league Raven but came through with a narrow 4-3 win to leave them two points off the top of the table and two points ahead of their opponents. The defeat sees Raven level on points but with a better average than Old Liberal Club ‘A’ and Ashwood who are fourth and fifth in the table, Old Liberal Club ‘A’ won 4-3 at home against sixth placed Bird in Hand ‘E’ while Ashwood had a 5-2 home win over Plough who are eleventh in the league.

Week twelve in the Black Country Men’s Super League brought about no changes in the top five places with leaders Allen’s Bar ‘A’ adding a 5-0 home win over Whiteheath Tavern to their tally to take their number of points to forty-eight with a lead of seven over second placed Quarry Bank Liberal Club who had a 4-1 win at home against Townsend Social. Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club are third in the league, their 4-1 home win over Soccer Zone ‘B’ not only keeping them in third place but also maintaining their unbeaten run, the only team in the league with a 100% win record. Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club are on thirty-eight points, three short of second placed Quarry Bank Liberal Club and ten behind leaders Allen’s Bar ‘A’ but they have played one game less than the two teams above them. Making up the top five are Soccer Zone ‘A’ in fourth place with thirty-six points after their latest 3-2 home win over Ten Arches and placed fifth is Townsend Social whose defeat at Quarry Bank Liberal Club leaves them on thirty-one points.

The top two players in division one of the Gilbert’s Bar Monday Night Singles League, Scott Baker and Simon Mountford didn’t play this week but nevertheless remain in their number one and two positions respectively. Baker is on 164 points from twenty games while Mountford has 139 points from twenty-two games with a ten points lead on third placed Chris Manoila who lost 5-3 to Kurt Wright this week.
In division two Michael Smith leads the field with 173 points and has a lead of twenty-seven on second placed Joe Bartolo who added a 6-2 win over Neville Quinton to his account to reduce the arrears on Smith who didn’t play this week. Third in the division Richard Brown beat Michael Franks 5-3 to give him 133 points, thirteen short of Bartolo.
Olly Garratt leads division three with 160 points from twenty games, neither he, or second placed Troy Simmonds played this week, Simmonds with 124 points has played nineteen games. Third placed Matt Ford played and won 5-3 against Tanya Dolman to put him on 114 points from twenty-one games.

Topping the doubles league once again its Junction ‘B’ who had a 2-1 win over Wednesfield Legion to keep intact their two points lead on second placed Dog and Partridge ‘B’ who had a straight 3-0 win at Bradmore Arms.
