David Davies and Danny Van Trijp took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Raymond Smith in Saturday’s finale at the MODUS Super Series.
Davies, who entered Group C having finished 5th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Dean Finn, Scott Bannerman, Ky Smith, Par Riihonen and Graham Jenkins, to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Graham Jenkins and Dean Finn ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Ky Smith and Par Riihoen sit 4th and 5th on 4 points each, with Scott Bannerman sitting bottom on 0 points having suffered five straight defeats.
In Group B, Danny Van Trijp took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Gemma Hayter, Robert Thornton and Charlie Martin, with his only defeat coming against Cameron Carolissen, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Cameron Carolissen also ended the night on 6 points, but sits in 2nd behind Van Trijp on leg difference, whilst Gemma Hayter sits in 3rd on 4 points, with Robert Thornton and Charlie Martin sitting 4th and 5th respectively on 2 points each.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Raymond Smith in Saturday’s finale, with Davies and Van Trijp taking the early lead thus far.
