Graham Usher took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as Champions Week of Series 11 commenced at the MODUS Super Series.
Usher, who entered Champions Week having won Week Eight back in July, made his return by winning all five of his matches.
The Gambler recorded victories against Scott Taylor, Shane McGuirk, Derek Coulson, Jimmy Van Schie and Jurjen Van der Velde, to sit on a maximum 10 points after a gripping opening day.
Elsewhere, Derek Coulson and Jimmy Van Schie ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Scott Taylor and Jurjen Van der Velde sit 4th and 5th on 4 points each, with Shane McGuirk sitting bottom on 0 points, having suffered five straight defeats.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Champions Week Finale, with Usher leading the way.
