Nathan Potter, Jenson Walker, Henry Coates, Ryan Branley and James Buckby all secured their places in Saturday’s Rising Stars finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Charlie Manby, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Potter, who entered Friday’s play on 10 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall after winning two of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Jack Howarth and Cayden Smith, with his three defeats coming against Jenson Walker, Thomas Banks and Nathan Care, to end on 14 points from a possible 20 overall.
Elsewhere, Jenson Walker also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Cayden Smith finished 3rd on 12 points, Jack Howarth and Nathan Care finishing 4th and 5th respectively on 8 points each, with Thomas Banks finishing bottom on 4 points.
In Group B, Henry Coates topped the group overall after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Harry Gregory, Ryan Branley, Daniel Stephenson and James Buckby, to end on a maximum 16 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Ryan Branley and James Buckby also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively overall with Branley ending on 12 points and Buckby on 8 points, whilst Daniel Stephenson and Harry Gregory finished joint bottom on 2 points each.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Rising Stars Week with the six players battling it out for the £5,000 top prize.
