Tweddle Top ADC Tour Tables

Play the Pro Darts Scorer

The ADC and WADC Winmau Championship Tours came to a conclusion, with the final four events taking place in Leicester and it was Jack Tweddell who topped the tour rankings.

Event nine at the Mattioli Arena saw Robbie Martin edge out Mike Huntley 5-4 in a thrilling final. Martz, as he’s cleverly known, pocketed £1,000 and added 256 points to his tally. The Dorset thrower averaged just shy of 88 and smashed in eighteen maximums on his way to the title.

Lewis Gurney posted the highest average of the day – a monstrous 105.22 in his opening round win over Joe Russell. Unfortunately, he bowed out at the last 64 stage to the ever-improving Ryan Branley.

The second final of the day produced quality, though the 5-1 scoreline in favour of Jamie Hughes seemed harsh on Robbie Martin, who actually edged the averages in the mid-90s. But it’s legs that count, not stats – and Yozza won’t lose any sleep over that column.

Tom Lonsdale topped the newly-invented highest match average this weekend leaderboard – a name I should probably shorten – nudging past Gurney with a 105.47 in a whitewash of Reece Colley.

After a good night’s sleep – cocoa all round, lights off by 10pm presumably – the lads went again, and Tyler Thorpe took the penultimate event. Fun fact: there’s also a Canadian ice hockey player with the same name. But this Tyler’s been skating around the PDC Development Tour and held his nerve in a last-leg thriller to edge out Jack Tweddell. Impressive stuff from the Norfolk youngster.

Rounding things off, Mr Chas Barstow claimed the final title of the season. The 46-year-old clearly spent very little time agonising over a nickname, settling on Chas. The Hampshire thrower was solid all day, notably beating Jack Tweddell in the semis, before averaging 94 in the final to comfortably see off Kieran Harris 5-1.

Wondering who registered the highest match average across the four days? That honour goes to Dave Pallett with a colossal 109.63 – narrowly pipping Carl Batchelor’s 109.31. There are no medals for this. Just solid nods of recognition and a mention in this report.

When the points were tallied, it was Jack Tweddell who finished top on 782, well ahead of Carl Wilson on 566. Those two, along with Christian Perez and Robbie Martin in third and fourth respectively, automatically qualify for the ADC Global Championships at the end of the year.

They’ll be joined at the MODUS Live Lounge in November by Chas Barstow, Kurt Parry, Graham Hall and Shaun Fox, who complete the Grand Finals line up.
