Move over Aussie Rules and Cricket – there’s a new sporting roadshow about to hit Down Under and it comes armed with tungsten. The inaugural PDC ANZ Premier League is rolling into town this October, promising eight weeks of pure darts mayhem, Aussie swagger, Kiwi grit, and more 180s than you can shake a schooner at.
Broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo in Australia, and Sky in New Zealand, this is darts’ biggest-ever Oceania takeover. Eight players will do battle across eight arenas – from Melbourne to Wellington, Hobart to the Gold Coast – with $160,000 on the line and, even better, a golden ticket to the 2025/26 Paddy Power World Darts Championship. Yes, a dart to glory at Ally Pally is just a checkout away.

Headlining the party is none other than Simon Whitlock – The Wizard himself – a man who has been proudly flying the Aussie flag for two decades. World Cup winner, World Championship finalist – and the proud owner of the most magnificent beard in darts history. Whitlock is back on the big stage and looking to add yet another chapter to his story.
But he won’t be alone. Homegrown stars like Raymond Smith and Tim Pusey are ready to light up the oche, alongside six other talents from the Australian Darts Association, DartPlayers Australia, and DartPlayers New Zealand circuits. The qualification structure ensures the region’s finest will get their shot – so expect a few surprises along the way.
The action begins October 4 at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena, before hitting Newcastle, Canberra, Hobart, Adelaide, Wellington, the Gold Coast, and finally Brisbane on November 22. Each stop promises the unique blend of tension, noise, and fancy dress that makes darts the greatest party in sport – only this time with a proper Aussie and Kiwi twist.
The Dabble Darts ANZ Premier League will be held every Saturday during October & November and you can get 20% off tiered seat tickets following these links via our friends at The Sporting News.
So, whether you’re a seasoned darts tragic or someone who just fancies a night out with mates, don’t miss it. The ANZ Premier League is set to turn darts Down Under into a darting carnival. Grab your tickets, paint your face, and get ready for high calibre tungsten action – Antipodean style.
