Ayres Sweeps Clean Into Super Series Finale

Danny Ayres secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the MODUS Super Series.

Ayres, who entered Wednesday’s play on 16 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall after winning all five of his matches, as he recorded victories against Jamai Van den Herik, Dean Gallagher, Jeroen Caron, Reece Robinson and Jurjen Van der Velde, to end on 26 points from a possible 30 overall. 

Elsewhere, Jamai Van den Herik and Jurjen Van der Velde will both compete in Group B, after the Dutch duo finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Van den Herik ending on 20 points and Van der Velde on 14 points. The pair will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Gary Stone, Andy Hamilton and Adam Mould.

Reece Robinson, Jeroen Caron and Dean Gallagher all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Robinson ending on 12 points, Caron on 10 points and Gallagher on 8 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Henry Coates, David Pallett and Adam Winspear. 

The MODUS Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST.
