Gary Stone and David Pallett took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Danny Ayres in Saturday’s finale at the MODUS Super Series.
In Group B, Gary Stone took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Andy Hamilton, Adam Mould and Jamai Van den Herik, with his only defeat coming against Jurjen Van der Velde, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Jurjen Van der Velde and Andy Hamilton also ended the night on 6 points each but sit 2nd and 3rd respectively behind Stone on leg difference, whilst Jamai Van den Herik sits in 4th on 2 points and Adam Mould bottom on 0 points having suffered four straight defeats.
Pallett, who last appeared at the Super Series in August, made a swift return by taking the early lead in Group C, after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Jeroen Caron, Dean Gallagher, Adam Winspear and Reece Robinson, with his only defeat coming Henry Coates, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Henry Coates and Jeroen Caron both ended the day on 8 points each but sit 2nd and 3rd respectively behind Pallett on leg difference, whilst Reece Robinson sits in 4th on 4 points, Dean Gallagher in 5th on 2 points and Adam Winspear bottom on 0 points having suffered five straight defeats on debut.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Danny Ayres in Saturday’s finale, with Pallett and Stone taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
