Stijn Deklerck Claims MODUS Finale Spot

Stijn Deklerck secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning three of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the MODUS Super Series.

Deklerck, who entered Wednesday’s play on 14 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall after winning three matches from five, as he recorded victories against Alex Spellman, Brian Raman and Carl Gabriel, with his two defeats coming against Jason Brandon and Jasper Scarrott, to end on 20 points from a possible 30 overall.

Elsewhere, Brian Raman and Alex Spellman will both compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall on 16 points each. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Chas Barstow, Kurt Parry and Ronan McDonagh.

Jason Brandon, Jasper Scarrott and Carl Gabriel will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Brandon ending on 14 points, whilst Scarrott and Gabriel ended on 12 points each.

The day also saw Scarrott fire in a nine-dart finish during his tie against Gabriel in Game One. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Robert Thornton, Carl Wilkinson and David Sharp.

The MODUS Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the MODUS YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
