Thorp and Crabtree Triumph on Challenge Tour

Tyler Thorpe and Cam Crabtree were victorious on Saturday, in winning Development Tour Events 18 & 19 respectively, as the PDC’s Youth Tour weekend continued in Wigan.

Thorpe, who’s furthest run on the Development Tour in 2025 was to the Last 32, reached the final of Event 18 firstly by Killian Hefferman, Rohan Brouwers, Harrison Leigh, Sebastian Bialecki, Joseph Brady, Charlie Manby and James Beeton, to set up a clash with Sweden’s Viktor Tingstrom.

The final began with six straight holds of throw between the pair, before the first break came from Thorpe in Leg Seven with a 13 darter to move 4-3 ahead and within one of victory.

The Englishman sealed the victory in the following leg with yet again another 13 darter to seal a maiden PDC title as well as the £2,500 top prize.

In Event 19, Cam Crabtree was victorious, as he reached the final firstly by recording victories against Jonas Stagg, Luis Kirschenlohr, William Bristow, Xanti Van den Bergh, Harrison Leigh, Keaton Williams and Ryan Branley, to set up a clash with Poland’s Sebastian Bialecki.

The final began with six straight holds of throw between the pair, ending with the first break coming from Crabtree in Leg Seven with a 19 darter which was then followed by a 15 dart hold of throw to seal a 5-3 victory against his fellow Tour Card Holder to pick up a fourth Development Tour title of the year as well as the £2,500 top prize.

The PDC Winmau Development Tour weekend concludes on Sunday with Event 20 taking place in Wigan, as play commences from 10:30 BST, with all live scores and results to be viewed at tv.dartconnect.com
