ITV and PDC Hit the Bullseye with New Broadcast DealDarts fans without a Sky Sports direct debit coming out of their bank accounts each month can breathe easy – live PDC action is staying free-to-air for years to come.

ITV has agreed a new extension with the Professional Darts Corporation that will keep coverage rolling until at least 2028.The deal means UK viewers will continue to enjoy wall-to-wall tungsten drama across ITV4 and ITVX, with the broadcaster showing a packed calendar of PDC events including the World Masters, UK Open, European Championship, Players Championship Finals, and every World Series of Darts event – capped off with the World Series Finals itself.

It comes off the back of a record-breaking year for darts on ITV, with 2025 already marking the broadcaster’s biggest-ever schedule of live coverage. More days of darts have hit ITV screens than ever before – a clear sign that the sport’s popularity is still soaring faster than a Luke Littler checkout percentage.

As part of the new deal, the PDC will take full control of event production, meaning fans can expect a fresh new broadcast look, new angles, and possibly fewer cutaways to people wearing traffic cones.

PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter said: “We are delighted to continue our long-standing relationship with ITV, with the new deal set to take our partnership beyond 20 years. With more buzz around darts than ever before, we are pleased to be able to deliver free-to-air coverage of so many of our popular events to UK fans.”

ITV’s Director of Sport Niall Sloane added: “We are pleased to expand and extend our live darts coverage here at ITV Sport, as we look to keep the biggest events in professional darts free-to-air for the UK audience to enjoy.

We have a great relationship with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and look forward to continuing our work with them into 2028.”

The partnership ensures darts remains one of the most accessible major sports on UK television – no paywalls, no subscriptions, just pure tungsten theatre for everyone.

With more coverage, refreshed production, and a sport at the height of its popularity, ITV and the PDC have clearly hit the bullseye once again.
