Robert Thornton, George Monios, Daniel Larsson, Tom Sykes and Paul Hogan all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Boris Krcmar, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
The Thorn, a Darts World ambassador, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Jake Jones, Richard Rowlands, Scott Baker and Aaron Gill, with his only defeat coming against George Monios, to end on 16 points from a possible 20 overall.
Elsewhere, George Monios also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 12 points, whilst the remaining four players in Rowlands, Jones, Baker and Gill finished 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th respectively on 8 points each.
In Group B, Daniel Larsson topped the group overall after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Matthew Edgar, Tom Sykes, Paul Hogan and Fallon Sherrock, to end on a maximum 16 points from a possible 16 overall.

Elsewhere, Tom Sykes and Paul Hogan also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Sykes ending on 12 points and Hogan on 4 points, edging out Matthew Edgar and Fallon Sherrock, who also ended on 4 points each, but finished 4th and 5th due to leg difference.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Eight with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm BST.
