Jenson Walker was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Five at the MODUS Super Series, after defeating Johnny Haines in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and claim the weekly top prize.
Walker, who entered the finale having won Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he defeated Steve Beaton before suffering a defeat to Johnny Haines.
However, the teenager did progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Carl Wilson, and from there, Walker defeated his compatriot, 4-2, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Walker came up against Johnny Haines for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Charlie Manby in the last four, and this time the Series 10 Champion got his revenge against his compatriot, as Walker sealed a 4-2 victory to book his place in Champions Week once again as well as collecting the £5,000 weekly first prize.
The MODUS Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Six, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Former PDC Tour Card Holders in Colin Osborne & Graham Usher.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
