For the first time in history, professional darts will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, marking a landmark moment in the sport’s continued global expansion. The announcement reflects the ever-growing international appeal of darts and the PDC’s ongoing mission to take the tungsten spectacle to new audiences worldwide.
With the release of the 2026 World Series of Darts schedule, the PDC confirmed that the world’s elite players will once again begin their year competing at the Bahrain Darts Masters before heading to Riyadh for the inaugural Saudi Darts Masters, held as part of Riyadh Season on January 19-20.
In recent years, Saudi Arabia’s transformation into a global sporting hub has been driven by His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, who has developed a strong partnership with Eddie Hearn, Chairman of Matchroom Sport – the PDC’s commercial ally. This collaboration has already delivered high-profile boxing and snooker events to the Kingdom, and the addition of darts represents another milestone moment for the sport. What we have now is a monumental occasion on the horizon which will elevate darts to a whole new stratosphere.
After the two Asian events, the World Series continues in June with a return to Copenhagen’s Forum in Denmark for the Nordic Masters, before crossing the Atlantic for the fifth consecutive US Darts Masters at Madison Square Garden, New York, alongside the North American Championship on June 26-27.
The Oceanic double-header then takes centre stage in August, starting with the New Zealand Darts Masters in Auckland (August 14-15) and followed by the Australian Darts Masters in Wollongong (August 21-22).
The 2026 World Series of Darts Finals will conclude the global calendar in spectacular fashion at Amsterdam’s AFAS Live from September 17-20, where 32 of the world’s finest players will battle it out for the prestigious title.
Player line-ups for each event will be announced in due course, with eight PDC stars set to face eight regional qualifiers in the opening round – a format that continues to bring local flavour and international flair to one of darts’ most exciting global showcases.
