Dean Finn was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 12 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Archie Self in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly title and top prize.
Irishman Finn, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Martyn Turner and Mervyn King to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Tommy Lishman.
From there, Finn defeated the Englishman 4-2 to book his place in the final. In the decider, Finn came up against Archie Self, who’d defeated Martyn Turner in the last four, and experience came out on top, as Finn dispatched of his teenage opponent, 4-2, to seal the 12th and final place at Champions Week as well as collecting the first prize.
The MODUS Super Series returns on Monday for the start of Champions Week, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Finn as well as the likes of Charlie Manby, Keegan Brown and Tom Sykes.
