Jim Mayer, Martyn Turner, Archie Self, Dean Finn and Tommy Lishman all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the MODUS Super Series, to join Mervyn King, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Mayer, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Gary Mawson, Martyn Turner, James Welding and Trina Gulliver, with his only defeat coming
against Adam Leek, to end on 16 points from a possible 20 overall.
Elsewhere, Martyn Turner also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst James Welding finished 3rd on 12 points, Adam Leek in 4th on 8 points, Gary Mawson in 5th on 6 points and Trina Gulliver bottom on 4 points.

In Group B, Archie Self topped the group overall after winning three of his four matches on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Steven Plumstead, Tommy Lishman and Dean Finn, with his only defeat coming against Johan Geldenhuys, to end on 14 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Dean Finn and Tommy Lishman also progressed through to Saturday’s finale,
after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall on 10 points each, whilst Johan
Geldenhuys finished 4th on 4 points and Steven Plumstead bottom on 2 points.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 12 with the six
players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm GMT.
