Graham Ushered Into Double Trouble Finale

Scott Mitchell, Andy Hamilton, Graham Usher, Alex Spellman and Steve West all secured their places in Saturday’s Double Trouble finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Neil Duff, the winner of Group A earlier in the week. 

Mitchell, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Andy Hamilton, Richie Burnett, Robert Thornton and Kevin Painter, with his only defeat coming against Trina Gulliver, to end on 16 points from a possible 20 overall. 

Elsewhere, Andy Hamilton also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2^nd overall on 12 points, edging out Robert Thornton, who also ended on 12 points, but missed out in 3^rd due to leg difference, whilst Richie Burnett finished 4^th on 8 points, with Trina Gulliver and Kevin Painter finishing 5^th and 6^th on 6 points each.  

In Group B, Graham Usher topped the group overall after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Steve West, Alex Spellman, Devon Petersen and Ram Guevara, to end on 12 points from a possible 16 overall.

Elsewhere, Alex Spellman and Steve West also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Spellman ending on 10 points and West on 8 points, edging out Ram Guevara, who also ended on 8 points, but missed out in 4^th due to leg difference, whilst Devon Petersen finished bottom on 2 points.  

The MODUS Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Double Trouble Week with the six players battling it out for the £5,000 top prize.
