Keanu Van Velzen, Richard McKee, Rob Grundy, Mark Dudbridge and David Wawrzewski all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the MODUS Super Series, to join Tommy Morris, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Van Velzen, who entered Friday’s play on 10 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall after winning two of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Joshua Burksfield and Michael Huntley, with his three defeats coming against Carl Wilkinson, Matt Clark and Richard McKee, to end on 14 points from a possible 20 overall.
Elsewhere, Richard McKee also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Matt Clark finished 3rd on 12 points, Carl Wilkinson and Michael Huntley finishing 4th and 5th on 8 points each and Joshua Burksfield finishing bottom on 4 points.

In Group B, Rob Grundy topped the group overall after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four again on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against David Wawrzewski, Jose Justicia, Mark Dudbridge and Richie Burnett, to end on a maximum 16 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Mark Dudbridge and David Wawrzewski also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall on 8 points each, whilst Jose Justicia finished 4th on 6 points and Richie Burnett bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Two with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with the action commencing from 7:30pm GMT.
