Rowlands Into Seniors Showdown Finale

Richard Rowlands secured his place in Saturday’s Seniors Showdown Finale on Wednesday, after winning two of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series. 

Rowlands, who entered Wednesday’s play on 14 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall after winning two of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Neil Duff and Robert Thornton, with his three defeats coming against Steve West, Johnny Haines and Michael Huntley, to end on 18 points from a possible 30 overall.  

Elsewhere, Steve West and Neil Duff will both compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall with West on 16 points and Duff on 14 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Simon Whitlock, Paul Hogan and Trina Gulliver. 

Michael Huntley, Johnny Haines and Robert Thornton will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4th, 5th and 6th respectively overall, with Huntley ending on 14 points, whilst Haines (replacing Richie Howson who withdrew due to personal reasons), and Thornton ended on 8 points each. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Kevin Painter, Terry Jenkins and Martyn Turner.  

The Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT.
