Johnny Haines, Michael Huntley, Simon Whitlock, Steve West and Neil Duff all secured their places in Saturday’s Seniors Showdown Finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Richard Rowlands, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Haines, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Michael Huntley, Kevin Painter, Terry Jenkins and Martyn Turner, with his only defeat coming against Robert Thornton, to end on 16 points from a possible 20 overall.

Elsewhere, Michael Huntley also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Robert Thornton finished 3rd on 12 points, Martyn Turner in 4th on 8 points, Terry Jenkins in 5th on 6 points and Kevin Painter bottom on 4 points.
In Group B, Simon Whitlock topped the group overall after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Neil Duff, Paul Hogan, Steve West and Trina Gulliver, to end on 14 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Steve West and Neil Duff also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall on 10 points each, whilst Paul Hogan finished 4th on 6 points and Trina Gulliver bottom on 0 points having suffered eight straight defeats.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Seniors Showdown Week with the six players battling it out for the £5,000 top prize.
