Michael van Gerwen has been forced to withdraw from this weeks’ BetMGM Premier League night in Glasgow due to a medical issue.
The PDC released a statement on Wednesday that the Dutchman would undergo tests ahead of the trip to OVO Hydro, and it has now been confirmed by them that the seven-time former Premier League Champion will indeed miss the action in Scotland in order to focus on his recovery.
His quarter final opponent, Luke Littler, will receive a bye to the semi-finals, where he will face either Jonny Clayton or Gerwyn Price.
