Simon Whitlock closed to within two points of the lead as Ron Meulenkamp maintained his position at the top of the MODUS Super Series table on Tuesday.
‘The Wizard’ won all five matches on Day Two and will look to overhaul Meulenkamp for a place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.
The Bomb, Meulenkamp, who entered Tuesday’s play on 10 points from the opening day of Group A, won four matches from five to remain at the top of the table, as he recorded victories against George Monios, Alec Small, Andy Davidson and Danny Lauby, with his only defeat coming against Simon Whitlock, to sit on 18 points from a possible 20 thus far.

Aussie legend Whitlock is the closest competitor to Meulenkamp with ‘The Wizard’ sitting in 2nd overall on 16 points, whilst Alec Small sits in 3rd on 10 points, Andy Davidson in 4th on 8 points, with George Monios and Danny Lauby sitting 5th and 6th on 4 points each.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Meulenkamp leading the way thus far.
Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups for Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray.
