Alex Williams and Mike Warburton took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Graham Hall in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
Williams, who last appeared at the Super Series back in November, made a perfect return by taking the early lead in Group C after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Robert Thornton, Justin Smith, Jyri Ussa, Phil Johnson-Hale and Harry Ward, to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Justin Smith ended the day in 2nd on 8 points, Jyri Ussa in 3rd on 6 points, whilst three players in Phil Johnson-Hale, Harry Ward and Robert Thornton sit 4th, 5th and 6th respectively on 2 points each.

In Group B, Mike Warburton took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Sam Spivey, Andy Baetens, Butch Devine and Kevin Burness, to sit on a maximum 8 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Andy Baetens ended the night in 2nd on 6 points, whilst three players in Sam Spivey, Butch Devine and Kevin Burness sit 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on 2 points each.

The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Graham Hall in Saturday’s finale, with Williams and Warburton taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT.
