Unicorn Darts Reboot Player Strategy in 2026

Diamond Draws Competitions

Masterfully maintaining an eye on the future, Unicorn Darts have once again demonstrated their long-standing philosophy of nurturing emerging talent with the announcement of seven exciting young prospects joining their ever-expanding portfolio of players.

There had been a somewhat peculiar interim period after Unicorn ceased being the board supplier to the PDC. Unicorn trimmed their team quite dramtically and let gona group ofnplayernwhonjave since gone on tonclaim big title and / or Premier League places.

They seemed set to try a differing model concentrating on a less pro player centred approach. However recent months have seen a slow reversal as.mor3 amd.more players at levels are being added once again

Following the almost ninety-year-old company’s recent acquisition of established professionals Darius Labanauskas and Adam Leek, the Nottingham based manufacturer has now turned its attention toward the next generation of darting talent.

In doing so, Unicorn has unveiled a group of highly promising youngsters who the organisation firmly believes possess the potential to one day grace the main PDC Tour. For a company whose history is woven deeply into the fabric of the sport, investing in tomorrow’s stars has always been part of the blueprint.

Unicorn’s illustrious roster already boasts legendary figures such as Gary Anderson and James Wade, players whose glittering careers continue to inspire aspiring artists across the globe.

By placing young hopefuls within the same developmental environment as such decorated champions, Unicorn is effectively creating a pathway for future stars to learn from some of the finest practitioners ever to stand on the oche.

Among the newly announced names is 17-year-old English prospect Ben Gamble, known appropriately by the electrifying nickname Supersonic. Already establishing himself as one of the most exciting youth players in the country, Gamble has reached the quarter finals of the England Youth Grand Prix on two occasions and also impressed by reaching the final of the prestigious JDC Super 16 competition. His rapid rise suggests a player brimming with both composure and formidable scoring potential.

Another standout addition is Alfie Moore, a 15-year-old from Alvaston in Derbyshire whose journey into darts began little more than two years ago while throwing arrows alongside his father in the local Needles pub.

Since those modest beginnings Moore has progressed at remarkable speed, steadily climbing through the ranks to become one of the leading players in his local league.

Leicester City supporter Bradley Hanson also joins the Unicorn development group, bringing youthful enthusiasm and competitive determination to the roster.

Meanwhile fellow Derbyshire talents Declan Thompson and Ethan Gillott represent Ilkeston’s growing contribution to the sport’s grassroots scene.

The programme also highlights the growing prominence of the women’s game through the inclusion of Coventry’s Lucy Shepherd. A recent winner on the JDC Girls Series circuit, Shepherd has demonstrated exceptional promise and looks well positioned to continue her upward trajectory.

Completing the group is Oldham youngster Seth Patterson, another emerging player whose potential has clearly caught the attention of Unicorn’s talent scouts. By combining the guidance of seasoned icons like Anderson and Wade with a carefully selected cadre of youthful prospects, Unicorn continues to ensure that its legacy stretches not only through the sport’s illustrious past but deep into its exciting future.
