PDC Pro Tour Darts Sees Late Withdrawals

Diamond Draws Competitions

On the eve of Wigan’s brace of Players Championship events, a series of late withdrawals has resulted in a trio of Challenge Tour players receiving call-ups.

Former World Champion Gerwyn Price will no longer be in attendance at Robin Park for the double-header. Joining The Iceman in pulling out is two-time PDC major winner Nathan Aspinall, while Germany’s Kai Gotthardt has also opted not to travel.

As a result, Scott Waites, Ted Evetts and Jack Aldridge will step in to compete among the elite across Monday and Tuesday, each hoping to capitalise on the opportunity presented. Of these few players, only Waites has featured on the Pro Tour so far this season, with the two-time Lakeside Champion reaching a board final in Leicester at the end of February.
