Spellman's 4 Wins Secure Darts MODUS Series Finale Spot

Alex Spellman secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the MODUS Super Series darts.

Alex, who entered Wednesday’s play on 14 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall after winning four matches from five, as he recorded victories against Jasper Scarrott, David Munyua, Jamai Van den Herik and Reece Colley, with his only defeat coming against Dmitrii Rogov, to end on 22 points from a possible 30 overall.

Elsewhere, Dmitrii Rogov and Jamai Van den Herik will both compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Rogov ending on 22 points and narrowly missing out on top spot due to leg difference, whilst Van den Herik ended on 18 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Lewis Pride, Ryan Branley and Dean Finn.

Reece Colley, David Munyua and Jasper Scarrott will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Colley ending on 16 points, whilst Munyua and Scarrott ended on 6 points each. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Jamie Kelling, Adrian Gray and Timothy Jones.

The MODUS Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
