Modus Super Series Week 8 Day 3
Andy Hamilton secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of her five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.
Hamilton, who entered Wednesday’s play on 14 points from the opening two days of Group A, won four matches from five as he topped the group overall, by recording victories over Adam Smith-Neale, Moreno Blom, Kevin Painter and Steve Brown, with his only defeat coming against Conor Heneghan, as he ends on 22 points from a possible 30.
Elsewhere, Conor Heneghan and Adam Smith-Neale will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively, with Heneghan ending on 20 points and Smith-Neale on 16 points. The duo will be joined in Group B by Conan Whitehead, Johnny Haines and Ryan Furness.
Steve Brown narrowly missed out on a place in Group B, despite finishing on 16 points overall, but missing out on leg difference, and will compete in Group C, alongside Kevin Painter and Moreno Blom, who finished 5th and 6th respectively. The trio will be joined by Scott Walters, Liam Meek and Lee Shewan.
Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
