DARTS has generated the most legendary sporting rivalries down the years.
Eric Bristow v Jocky Wilson, Phil Taylor v Raymond van Barneveld and Michael van Gerwen v Gary Anderson amongst so many.
Now two more big names are going head-to-head for a sensational result.
Darts World are delighted to announce that they and fresh new Oche! Magazine are joining forces to deliver the ultimate arrows magazine and online experience for fans old and new.
Put together all those big characters, the passion, the colour, the atmosphere and the fun and you’ve got the most magnificent magazine of the future.
It all adds up to a very exciting month ahead for darts fans.
Firstly, the third issue of Oche! is hot off the press this week with the most incredible exclusives and lowdown on the lockdown, uncovering the highs and lows of the most challenging period of time in a generation.
Then in late July, the first new-look edition of Darts World arrives just as big time darts is back on the big stage and TV for the BetFred World Matchplay.
This is a magazine of style and culture darts has simply never seen before.
Oche becomes part of that new-look and includes a plethora of the freshest new names beautifully accompanied by the blasts of the past along with every area of the sport covered, as usual by Darts World.
The biggest names of the arrows will all be penning their exclusive and crucial opinions all with the most striking designs ever seen in the darts.
As revealed earlier this month, five-times award-winning journalist Phil Lanning has joined the Darts World group of publications alongside his 18-year-old photographer son Taylor Lanning who is rapidly gaining a healthy reputation in sports imagery.
Phil is the son of legendary darts commentator Dave who first put the sport on television in the early 1970s. Phil has been connected to the sport all this life and a national newspaper writer for 25 years.
Phil Lanning admits: “This is undoubtedly the most exciting period in the history of darts. The incredible emergence and global interest in Fallon Sherrock at the World Championships has added an entirely new audience to the sport.
“The PDC have, without doubt, been the most proactive sport during the lockdown period, making headlines in all national newspapers.
“Now we are arriving back on the big stage and TV, the appetite for the sport has never been greater.
“Record TV audiences and ticket sales were the theme of 2019, now I expect the sport to kick on into formidable new territory across Europe, Asia, North America and the Oceanic region.
“This means more great characters and a booming sport. Darts World and Oche! will be on the pulse of all of it. These are such exciting times.”
Phil and Taylor Lanning will head an editorial outfit bulging with passion and knowledge like no other in the sport – and there will be more announcements to come.
Both brands existing subscribers, customers, advertisers and sponsors can look forward to more developments and exciting news in the very near future.
Quite simply darts fans, you’ve never had it so good!
