WADC Appoints Claire Stamper

Red Dragon Darts

The Women’s Amateur Darts Circuit (WADC) will be the first women’s only organisation run by and for Women. Head of Women’s Development, Claire Stamper will run the day-to-day operations, with
ADC Global to oversee and support:

Claire said commented: “It is an exciting time for Women to be playing darts. We are
receiving many more opportunities to play at a high level compared to previous years. The
women’s game is becoming more attractive to the younger generation and encouraging
them to try the sport. This is what we need to keep women’s darts at the forefront”.

WADC will move into 2024 with a second edition of the Women’s Winmau Championship
Tour. Next year will feature a prize-fund increase to a whopping, £28,600. The tour events
have been increased from 12 to 16 and will be held over 4 weekends, with events in the
North & South of England.

Following on from the success of hosting the Finals of the 2023 Tour at MODUS Live Lounge, the finals will once again be staged in Portsmouth.

Launched in 2023, the Women’s National Singles Leagues also proved to be a roaring
success with 24 individual leagues ran throughout the year. The top 2 women of each league
and the next best 24 players on points qualified for the National Finals in Bristol. In 2024, the Finals will be hosted in Middlesbrough with a prize fund of £4,000.

The organisation will also introduce new concepts and events in 2024, that will be inclusive
for all Women players, fully supported by Winmau and Red Dragon.

Membership for the WADC will be priced at £10 for 12 months and can be purchased via the
WADC United Kingdom Organisation on Darts Atlas.
