Josh Richardson, Darren Penhall, Robert Owen, Gavin Carlin and Lee Evans all booked their places in Saturday’s Finale on Friday at the Online Darts Live League, after coming through their respective groups to join Robert Thornton, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Richardson, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall by completing a clean sweep, in winning all five of his matches, recording victories over Darren Penhall, Chris Gilliland, Sean Fisher, Pete Burgoyne and Adam Smith-Neale, to end on 18 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Darren Penhall also progressed through to Saturday’s finale by finishing on 14 points overall, after winning three of his five matches during Friday’s play, with Adam Smith-Neale finishing 3rd on 10 points, Chris Gilliland in 4th on 8 points, Pete Burgoyne in 5th on 6 points and Sean Fisher bottom on 4 points.
In Group B, Robert Owen topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Friday evening, in recording victories over Rob Collins, Gavin Carlin, Keith Deller and Lee Evans, to end on 14 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Gavin Carlin and Lee Evans also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Carlin ending on 12 points and Evans on 8 points, as Rob Collins finished 4th on 4 points and Keith Deller bottom on 2 points.
Online Darts Live League continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 1 with the six players battling it out for the 3 spots up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 10:00pm BST. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
