The Action Moves Above 700 Points

ADC Leader Matt Jackson despite not performing to his full potential over the weekend in Bristol, becomes the first player to hit 700 ranking points despite a First-Round exit on Sunday and a Last 32 appearance in the recent Winmau Tour Championships.

The Englishman has enjoyed a really strong 2022, performing very well in ADC sanctioned events as well as an appearance in the recent Online Live League.

Adam Atkinson sits second on 666 points, with the man from the Northeast at one stage taking the top spot off The Action. ADC Chairman and Winmau star Steve Brown moved a considerable number of spots up the ADC table after winning Championship Tour 3, beating Dan Read 6-2 in the Final.

The Bomber made his way to third with 566 points with his win on Saturday earning the Bristol thrower 256 points in a 137-man field in Thornbury.

Tony Wood saw a dip in form but found his first win in the ADC a couple of weeks ago in Consett, near his hometown of Gateshead. The veteran who was the first player to hit a 9 darter in a competition within the new organisation, found another win on the Friday as he won 64 ranking points for his win before adding 16 points from the new main events over the weekend.

The 52-year-old sits on 552 points, 14 off Brown in third and 31 points ahead of Lincoln thrower Lloyd Pennell in fifth. Dan Read was the only other player to pick up 256 points or higher from the action after reaching both Finals, beating James Richardson in both Semi Finals 5-2.

Dan the Man beat Welsh thrower Michael Huntley in the Final of Championship Tour 4 to take home 128 points, with only 117 players entering on the Sunday. The 23-year-old is into the top 16 in the rankings despite not playing a single event within the ADC so far this year.

The Championship Tour table also was concluded over the weekend with the top 64 in the table qualifying for Grand Finals Night, set to take place on October 23rd/24th. Gary Blades leads the way with 23 points, closely followed by Tony Wood who sits on 22.

Steve Brown sits third in both the rankings and the Championship Tour table with Lee Budgen in fourth after his run to the Quarter Finals on Sunday.

Darts World’s very own Colin Osborne is fifth with the Winmau man reaching the Last 64 on Sunday, after a Last 32 appearance on the Saturday as he lost to Kevin Garcia despite averaging more than his opponent.

The race continues this weekend in terms of the ADC Rankings, whilst Manchester is the next destination for the next 2 Championship Tours before a return to Thornbury for the final two of the year.
