Just one week of action now remains before the Final two Championship Tours in Bristol next week, where it will be a race for ranking points as well as a spot at the Grand Finals

A strong turnout and their biggest event yet ensured that those involved with the regular Courtyard knockout were once more delighted.

Returning in 2022, after the Covid enforced layoff, the 256 venue champions will play off at the Grand Final on the 27th of August at The Depot in Cardiff.

On Saturday there was the men’s and women’s Birmingham Classic with the men’s competition attracting a total of 75 players

Scott Mitton turned back the clock and found the form he used to produce in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, beating former world finalist Kevin Painter 6 legs to 2 in the final to take the title and the top prize money.

Dale Gadsby defeated some high-quality players along the way including our own Colin Osborne and seeing off Yorkshire ‘A’ team player Carl Wilkinson 5-1 in a fantastic display in the final.
