Josh Payne secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning two of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Online Darts Live League.
Payne, who entered Wednesday’s play on 10 points after the opening day of Group A, won just two of his five matches to secure qualification into Saturday’s finale, as he recorded victories over Alan Tabern and Ciaran Teehan, with defeats coming against Scott Walters, Lisa Ashton and Colin Osborne.
Elsewhere, Scott Walters and Lisa Ashton will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, as Walters finished on 12 points and Ashton on 10 points. The duo will be joined in Group B by Chas Barstow, Nick Kenny and Live League debutant Andy Hamilton.
Alan Tabern, Colin Osborne and Ciaran Teehan will all compete in Group C, after the trio finished 4th, 5th and 6th respectively overall, all on 8 points each, and will be joined by Martin Thomas, Peter Jacques and Dom Taylor.
Online Darts Live League continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
