Red Dragon Darts

PDC Winmau Development Tour Event 10 saw Geert Nentjes was victorious on Sunday, in winning his 3rd PDC Development Tour title of his career.

Geert defeated Jitse Van der Wal in the decider, as the second weekend of the PDC’s Youth Tour season came to a close in Wigan.

Nentjes, who lost out in the decider of Friday’s Event 7, went a step further on Sunday, as he dropped just 12 legs on route to the final, after recording victories over Felix Kleeberg, Daan Bastiaansen, Maikel Verberk, Tomas Houdek, Kevin Doets, Lewy Williams and Gian Van Veen, to set up a clash with fellow Dutchman, Jitse Van der Wal.

The final began with Nentjes racing into a 3-0 lead, with winning legs coming in 23,17 and 13 darts respectively, before Van der Wal picked up his first and what turned out to be his only leg won in the tie in leg 4 with a 16 darter, before Nentjes won back-to-back legs to take the title and pick up a 1st Development Tour crown in three years.

The PDC Winmau Development Tour returns between 3-5th June with Events 11-15 taking place from Halle 39, Hildesheim. All live scores and results will be viewed via tv.dartconnect.com.
