Scott “Shaggy” Williams has signed a long-term management agreement with MODUS Sports Management.
A 2024 PDC World Championship semi-finalist, Williams has also won a Players Championship title and four PDC Winmau Challenge Tour crowns.
MODUS have made clear what they see in the deal, with Billy Lovell saying the group is “really pleased” to have Scott join them.
“He has talent in abundance, and we are looking forward to being part of the next chapter of his journey, and to help him fulfil his huge potential.”
Williams struck a similar tone: “I’m really happy to be part of the MODUS stable, and I’m looking forward to getting started,” he said.
“MODUS has a rich history of producing champions, and there’s no reason why I can’t kick on and reach those heights with them in my corner.”
Williams back to winning ways?
That last line carries some weight. “Shaggy”’s run to the 2024 World Championship semi-finals, in which he ebay Michael van Gerwen, pushed him into the world’s top 32 and made him one of the circuit’s most recognisable names. It hasn’t been a straight line since.
Results dipped through the back half of that season and into the next, and his ranking has slipped well outside the top 50.
A turnaround seems to have built momentum recently, and it’s evident that it’s a promising one. WIlliams reached the final of Players Championship 30 in Den Bosch this week on the back of a string of strong performances, headlined by a 110.46 average in his third-round win over Richard Veenstra.
Form like this puts him well on course for a fifth World Championship appearance this December. He’s also just qualified for the Dutch Darts Championship (ET15), coming through the Tour Card Holder Qualifier. As Williams himself put it:
“I feel like I am getting back to my best after a tricky period in my career, and I think my best days are ahead of me.”
It’s that context that makes the timing of the MODUS move worth watching. A management group with the structure and experience to back proving ranking-event winners.
MODUS have added Chirs Dobey, Nathan Aspinall and Jamai van den Herik to their stable already this year.
It’s exactly the kind of setup that can help turn a hot streak into something more sustained.
Williams has never lacked for talent or personality, and what a settled team around him could add is consistency through periods when form dips again, as it inevitably will over a career.

If the upturn holds, this is a deal that could look very well timed and definitely one to keep an eye on.
