Danny Baggish will begin his defence of the bet365 North American Championship against Doug Boehm and other top stars including Canadian Jeff Smith in Saturday’s tournament in the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.
The $25,000 tournament will be played on Saturday afternoon as eight top North Americans compete for the $10,000 first prize and a place in the 2022/23 Cazoo World Darts Championship.
Baggish claimed victory in the event’s most recent staging, in Las Vegas in 2019,
2018 champion Jeff Smith, the top seed, will take on fellow Canadian David Cameron in their opening tie.
Canada’s Matt Campbell, the number two seed, will play American left-hander Danny Lauby, while Jules van Dongen drew Leonard Gates.
The tournament will feature the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final in one session on Saturday afternoon (1300 EST).
The bet365 North American Championship will be broadcast live through DAZN in the US and Canada, as well as in various other worldwide territories and exclusively in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Other live global coverage will be broadcast through Viaplay in various territories including the Netherlands, as well as via PDCTV in all countries outside Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
