ADC ranking leader Matt Jackson and third-placed Graham Hall are both competing in the Online Live League this week, leaving the door open for Adam Atkinson make headway ahead of the weekend’s action in the ADC.
The man from the Northeast looks to claw back a 28-point gap, after The Action extended his lead last week earning 32 points from two competitions.
The 27-year-old, along with the likes of Tony Wood (Pictured) and Geoff Murray, is registered for the Globe Hotel June Darts Open in Gateshead on Saturday.
54-year-old Wood has fallen down the rankings in the last few weeks having been third at one stage. He is also registered for the Consett Station Club Knock Out set to take place on Thursday.
The tournament in Gateshead is capped at 64 points with more ranking points on offer to those registered, ahead of the Championship Tour taking place in Bristol in early July.
Adam Hunt a PDC Tour Card holder has also registered for the tournament, with The Hunter taking advantage of the tournaments the ADC has to offer with no Pro Tour events taking place over the weekend due to the World Cup.
18 players are so far registered for the Pendlebury June GSoD in Manchester this weekend in another ADC sanctioned event. The event will be played in groups before a straight knockout format to determine the winner at the Pendlebury Social Club.
With two weeks to go until the third and fourth Championship Tours where 256 ranking points are available to the winner, and with Jackson and Atkinson close in the rankings it could be a decider for one to potentially push on into the rest of the year.
A win for the ADC Number 2 could be handy this weekend still unable yet to shift the 37-year-old off top spot as we come to the end of June.
The winner of Winmau Championship 4 is also confirmed a spot in the Worthington’s Champion of Champions set to take place in August.
More and more tournaments are being added to darts Atlas every week, including in new areas such as Nottinghamshire and Bedfordshire. Rankings table and entry available at Darts Atlas.
