Conan Whitehead was victorious on Saturday in winning Week 2 of the Online Darts Live League and securing a place in Champions Week, after defeating Josh Payne in the final, with David Pallett winning the 3rd place playoff to secure his qualification into Champions Week, as the second week of Phase 4 concluded.
Whitehead, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group C on Thursday and Friday, won just one of his group phase matches, as he defeated Darryl Pilgrim, before losing to Josh Payne. In the Semi Finals, Whitehead took on David Pallett, and produced an incredible comeback in coming from 3-0 down to defeat Pallett 4-3, to book his place in the final and a spot at Champions Week.
In the final, Whitehead took on Josh Payne for the 2nd time on the night, and the Former Tour Card Holder got his revenge, in defeating Payne 4-3 to take the Week 2 crown of Phase 4 at the Online Darts Live League.
Elsewhere, beaten Semi-Finalists David Pallett and Matthew Dennant competed in a 3rd place playoff to see who would join Whitehead and Payne in Champions Week, and it was Pallett who was victorious, coming out as a 4-3 victor.
Online Darts Live League returns on Tuesday with Week 3 commencing with the first of two days of Group A, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
