Van Veen Sweeps Clean

Gian Van Veen secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after completing a clean sweep, in winning all five of his matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Online Darts Live League.

Van Veen, who entered Wednesday’s play on 8 points from his debut appearance in the Live League, secured an automatic spot in Saturday’s finale at the first time of asking, after recording victories over Thibault Tricole, Arjan Konterman, Davy Proosten, Nathan Girvan and Conor Heneghan, to finish on 18 points from a possible 20.

Elsewhere, Nathan Girvan and Thibault Tricole will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Girvan ending on 14 points and Tricole on 10 points. The duo will be joined in Group B by Chas Barstow, James Richardson and Mike Gillet.

The remaining three players in Arjan Konterman, Conor Heneghan and Davy Proosten will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively and will be joined by Kai Fan Leung, Scott Walters and Rhys Hayden.

Online Darts Live League continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
