Gian Van Veen was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 4 at the Online Darts Live League, after defeating Nathan Girvan in the final to secure a place in Champions Week, with Conor Heneghan also advancing in winning the 3rd place playoff.
Van Veen, who entered the finale having won Group A earlier in the week, won both of his group phase matches, defeating Arjan Konterman and Nathan Girvan to book his place in the Semi-Finals, where he came up against Thibault Tricole, and came out a 4-1 victor to seal his place in the final and an automatic spot at Champions Week.
In the final, Van Veen took on Nathan Girvan for the 2nd time on the night and once again, it was a comfortable affair for the Dutchman, coming out a 4-1 victor to take the Week 4 crown of Phase 4 on his debut week in the Live League and the £2,000 weekly prize.
Elsewhere, beaten Semi-Finalists Conor Heneghan and Thibault Tricole competed in a 3rd place playoff, with the winner joining Van Veen and Girvan in Champions Week, and it was Nine Dart Star from earlier in the evening, Heneghan, who was victorious in coming out a 4-1 victor.
Online Darts Live League returns on Tuesday with Champions Week commencing with the first of two days of Group A, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
