From a starting line-up of thirteen teams in the new season of the Kings Norton League and after only the opening five games just three teams are able to boast a 100% win record Copper Fox and Rubery Social Club are two of those teams.
Copper Fox with a 5-2 away win over bottom of the table Grant Arms top the table on average from Rubery whose latest fixture saw them beat former second placed Northfield 4-3 to replace them in the number two spot.
Northfield who are now third in the league have played six games compared to the two teams above them having played five. The leading duo with a game in hand are now opening up a gap between themselves and the rest of the field as fourth-placed Bournebrook are four points adrift from the same number of games.
Fifth in the table Thurlestone are the other unbeaten team, they have played just three games so far and with three wins are on six points, four off the top but with two games in hand.
At the other end of the table Coppice, Kings Heath and Grant Arms are still seeking their first win.

As the Sutton and District Summer League kick-off the second half of their season no fewer than three teams are on fourteen points at the top of division one. Bishop Vesey hold on to pole position on average from both Highcroft Social and Walmley CSC Flights after adding an impressive 8-1 over middle-of-the-table Old Oscott Arrows to their account, Highcroft winning by the same 8-1 margin against next-to-bottom Pint Pot Flights while Walmley had a much closer 5-4 success playing away against Plough and Arrows who are at the foot of the table, the only team in the division without a win so far. Nomads are two points behind the three teams above them with a game in hand they in turn have a four points lead over fifth and sixth in the division Old Oscott Arrows and Red Lion.
The top three teams in division two all won 5-4, leaders Golden Hind Lions beat bottom team Sutton Sports and Social to make it ten wins in as many games for the Lions and keep intact their two points lead over second-placed Heartlands who won at Erdington Arrows. Third, in the table Oscott Social Club won at Rosey Mac’s to put them on fourteen points, six short of the leaders.

Aston Inn Nomads and Cotterills Lane EBAHA Club are taking it turns to lead the Camp Hill League and this week it was the turn of Cotterills as their 6-1 home win over Peaky Blinder gives them a slender one-leg of average advantage over the Nomads who were 5-2 winners at Tyseley WMC. Both teams have 14 points but Cotterills have played one fixture more than Aston.
Sedgemere Devils are still looking for their first points of the season and this week it got no better for them when they lost their home tie with Moseley Arms 5-2, Moseley moving up one place from their next to bottom position, the win taking them above Peaky Blinder on average.

A ten darts game from Bob Nixon and a 6-2 result over Mackadown Social was enough to keep Langley Arrows top of group one in the Sheldon and District Summer League. The win takes Langley’s points to a perfect ten and gives them a two points advantage over second-placed Raven Arrows who won 6-2 at Iron Horse Rebels, in fact the results for the whole group had no effect on the group one positions whatsoever.
Similarly in group two the position is as you were although leaders Willclare Sports and Social’s game with Shirley Misfits was postponed they stay top of the group with seven points one to the good on second-placed Yardley Ex Colts after their 5-3 home win over Langley Flights.
Group three saw the only change in league positions as former leaders Irish Centre were held to a 4-4 draw at bottom of the group Raven and replacing them at the top of the table is Sheldon Marlborough Ridge who moves up from fourth after a 5-3 home win over Journeys End. Sheldon are on seven points with Irish Centre second on six, third-placed Hampton and Solihull Cricket Club, whose game with Lyndon Old Boys was postponed are on five points with a game in hand.

Waggon and Horses not only lost game number seventeen but also lost their unbeaten record in the Hilltop Friendly Tuesday Night League when they somewhat surprisingly went down 5-2 at Miners Arms ‘A’ who as a result moved up two places in the table to fourth. Waggon and Horses hold on to pole position but have now had their lead cut to four points as second-placed Dewdrop ‘A’ won 4-3 at Vine ‘A’ who drop one place to fifth. A 5-2 win at Albion keeps Miners Arms ‘B’ within six points of leaders Waggon but they have played one game more than both teams above them.

The Netherton Thursday Night League played off their Captains Cup and in the quarter-finals, there were straight 2-0 wins for Carl Hadlington (Spring Meadow Social Club) and Mitch Jeffrey (Old Hill Cricket Club) over respective opponents Colin Bowen (Bulls Head) and Gary Male (Netherton Sports and Social) while Will Cairns (Townsend Social Club) was taken to a deciding leg by Darryl Hambridge (Netherton Conservative Club) before winning 2-1. Johnny Green (The Clock) had a bye.
The semi-final games were close with both of them going to a deciding third leg with Johnny Green and Carl Hadlingotn coming out on top in turn against Mitch Jeffrey and Will Cairns.
As in the last four games, the final also went the full distance with Carl Hadlington lifting the winners’ silverware and Johnny Green finishing as runner-up.

White Horse stretched their lead at the top of the Stourbridge and District Monday Night League to four points plus a game in hand when in game 29 they beat their nearest rivals Cross (Oldswinford) 6-1. Third, in the league Bell ‘A’ had a 4-3 win at Bird in Hand to keep within four points of Cross with a game in hand.
A 4-3 home win over Fox Inn (Lye) has seen Gate Hangs Well open up a four points lead over Bird in Hand at the top of the Shadow League.

Church Tavern have had their undefeated run in the Cradley Tuesday Night League brought to a halt as they lost their twelfth game of the season, a home tie with Samson 5-2. Despite the defeat Church Tavern remain top of the table with 33 points and still hold a lead of six over their nearest rivals Netherton Sports and Social who won 5-2 at home against Chop House to keep them, in turn, six points ahead of third placed Bulls Head who had a close 4-3 win at Plough.

The Silver End Sunday Morning League are two games into the second half of their season and the top two teams are both on 33 points. Leaders Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club had a convincing 7-1 home win over Tenth Lock to keep them ahead of Old Star who won 5-3 at Kings Head ‘A’, plus the Ex Serviceman’s Club have only played thirteen games compared to Old Star’s fourteen.
Dudley Sports handed their visitors Kings Head ‘B’ an 8-0 whitewash keep them in touch with the top two teams as they are on 31 points again from fourteen games.
Black Horse ‘A’ are next to bottom of the table but had a very creditable 4-4 draw with Bell ‘A’ who are fourth in the league.

All three teams have won their four games with Ten Arches top of the table after their 5-2 win at Shovel, Bird in Hand ‘E’ are second just two legs short of Ten Arches after their 4-3 win at home over Fox Inn (lye). Making up the top three is Labour Club who are a further two legs adrift following their 4-3 win over Hollybush.
Dudley Sports and Shovel are the only teams in the fourteen-strong league not to have recorded a win so far.

A close 5-4 home win over Ex Serviceman’s sees Bell hold on to pole position with a slim four legs of average lead over both Clock (Whiteheath) and Plough and Harrow with all three teams on 32 points from a possible 38. Clock, like Bell, were 5-4 winners in their home game with White Swan while Plough and Harrow drew level with Clock after chalking up a 6-3 win at Windmills End.

Leader of the Ashwood Premier League Nick Fullwell didn’t play in week 22 which gave his rivals the opportunity to reduce the arrears. Second, in the table, Geoff Marson didn’t have the best of starts as he suffered a narrow 4-3 defeat at the hands of fourth in the league Dave Simpson. Marson did however recover and added a 6-1 win over Andy Vellender to his account to leave him 41 points short of Fullwell with just one game in hand. Third-placed Sam Aitkens has played one game more than Marson and is two points behind him after he opened up his evening’s games by handing Gaz Cartwright a 7-0 whitewash but then lost 5-2 to Chris Fox before rounding off his proceedings with a 5-2 win against Ash Marson to put him on 177 points. Prior to beating Marson Dave Simpson had lost 4-3 to Kevin Harris who is six places below him in the table.

Nick Fullwell was also in action in the Black Country Thursday Night Singles League and played catch-up as he completed no fewer than four games on the night. He began with a 6-2 win over Grace Angell but was then held to a 4-4 draw by third in the table Rich Bowen. Fullwell returned to winning ways with his second 6-2 win of the night this time against Heather Wright and rounded off the evening by handing James Davies an 8-0 whitewash. The three wins and one draw took Fullwell’s total points to 249 from 31 games giving him a lead of 26 over the former leader and second in the table Graham Hall who didn’t play on the night. Hall who in 25 games has won 24 and drawn 1 has six games in hand on Fullwell and with a possible ten points from every game could amass another 60 points from his games in hand which would give him a commanding lead at the top of the table.

Game six in the Black Country Men’s Super League and there was no change in the top three places as leaders Allens Bar ‘A’ made it six consecutive wins when they won 5-0 at home against Halesowen Cricket Club. Second in the league Railway Tavern are also unbeaten and they continued their winning run with a 4-1 win at home over Yeltz Bar who drop three places in the table to seventh, Railway with 35 points are four off the top.
Gilbert’s Bar make up the top three, they also had a home game and won 4-1 against Allens Bar ‘C’ leaving them a further four points behind Railway.
Yeltz Bar ‘A’ have taken over fourth place from their local rivals Yeltz Bar after winning 5-2 against Bell, Kingswinford ‘B’ giving them a total of 29 points.

The top four places remain the same in the singles division of the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League with Woodfield holding on to the top spot with a 4-3 win over Wednesfield Legion. Woodfield have a two points lead on second-placed Railway who had a substantial 6-1 win at Moreton Arms to keep them in turn two ahead of Gilbert’s Bar who were held to a close 4-3 win at next to bottom of the table Jack’s Bar. ECC had a bye this week but hold on to fourth place on average from Dog and Partridge and Wednesfield Legion, all three teams are on ten points.
Although ECC had a bye they held on to the number one position in the doubles league but only on average from Hurst Hill who beat Cleveland Arms 2-1, Hurst Hill have a game in hand on ECC and are the only team in the division to remain unbeaten.
