PDC Winmau Development Tour Events 16 & 17
Josh Rock made it a perfect double on Friday, in winning Development Tour Events 16 & 17, as the fourth weekend of the PDC’s Youth Tour season commenced at Halle 39, Hildesheim.
Northern Ireland’s Rock, who won two of the opening five Development Tour Events of the year, returned to winning ways as he reached the final by recording victories over Erik Meyers, Jarred Cole, Kieran Peek, James Beeton, Jitse Van der Wal and Sebastian Bialecki, dropping just five legs on route, to set up a clash with fellow Irishman, Dylan Dowling in the decider.
Rock showed his class and experience in the decider as a current PDC Tour Card Holder, in winning five straight legs in 13,14,15,13 and 12 darts respectively, without giving Dowling a sniff, to pick up a 3rd Development Tour crown of his career.
In Event 17, Rock went all the way again, in reaching the final by recording victories over Owen Bates, Felix Bollmann, Charlie Wiles, Ciaran Teehan, Marvin Koch, Sebastian Bialecki and Daniel Perry, to set up a clash with Nathan Girvan.
Once again, Rock completely dominated the final in winning five straight legs in 12,12,19,14 and 15 darts respectively, finishing with an average of over 104 to pick up back-to-back titles and his 4th of the year.
PDC Winmau Development Tour weekend continues on Saturday, with Events 18 & 19 taking place in Hildesheim, with play commencing at 9:30 BST, as all live scores and results can be viewed at tv.dartconnect.com.
