Darryl Pilgrim was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week 4 at the Online Darts Live League, after defeating Josh Payne in the final to secure a place in Champions Week, with Matthew Dennant winning the 3rd place playoff.
Pilgrim, who entered Saturday’s finale having won Group B during Thursday & Friday, won both of his group phase matches, in defeating Dan Read and Matthew Dennant to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Gary Stone, and defeated the Scotsman in a last leg decider, 4-3, to seal his place in the final.
In the decider, Pilgrim took on Josh Payne, who’d also won both of his group phase matches on the night and had defeated Matthew Dennant in the last four. Nothing separated the pair in the final, but multiple missed match darts proved to be vital, as Pilgrim sealed the victory in a last leg decider to deny Payne and take the Week 4 crown of Stage 1.
Online Darts Live League returns on Monday as Week 5 of Stage One commences, with the first of three days of Group A, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
