Bumper Bank Holiday For ADC Affiliates

Red Dragon Darts

Plenty of point scoring opportunity arises with a packed Bank Holiday schedule on the Amateur Darts Circuit that sees 17 tournaments take place over four days of action.

Matt Jackson the ADC Number 1 is taking part in three starting with the Friday Night Flyer before playing the Albert Gainey Nelson Memorial Cup 4 in Bar1501 on Saturday.

The Action is well clear of the rest in the rankings having won again in Bristol, claiming victory in the Bar501 Kingswood Round Robin again.

The Englishman beat Mark Dudbridge 4-0 in the Final including a 12-dart leg and a fantastic 128 finish to seal 32 ranking points, taking him to 1209 points and 341 clear of second placed Steve Brown.

87 players will take part in the East Middlesbrough Open including ADC Championship Tour 1 winner Adam Atkinson, who will hope to close in on the Bomber in second with a crucial seeded spot at the World Darts Open up for grabs.

There will also be a Ladies East Middlesbrough Open in Teesside, but the event is not ranked with Paula Jacklin amongst those registered.

The Poolie claimed his eighth ADC title after winning last week’s Turbinia Open having beat Jack Bell 4-2 in the Final. The ADC Number 3 was also involved in a high-quality tie with Tony Wood that saw both players average over 93, and with the field being as big as it is he will need similar performances if he is to make it back-to-back wins.

PDC Tour card holders Chris Dobey and Nick Fullwell are amongst those registered, as well as former World Finalist Andy Hamilton and Jim McEwan who has impressed in the Online Darts Live League.

Colin Osborne the man who sits in 11th in the ADC Championship Tour table is also amongst the names in the hat, showing the quality needed to win ADC Sanctioned events has to be high.

Sunday sees the Cleveland Festival of Darts Warmup Singles which will consist of 98 players all wanting to win at the Thornaby Sports and Leisure Club in Stockton on Tees.

Matt Jackson and Adam Atkinson will battle it out with 96 other players including PDC Tour Card holders and challengers in the ADC Rankings such as Kevin McDine and ADC Number 10 Phil Borthwick.

73 players will contest the Globe Paddy Loughran Memorial 2022 in Gateshead on Saturday, as the likes of Scott Hunt who is the Head of Global Operations in the ADC and former Ally Pally Quarter Finalist Ryan Joyce, all battle it out for £400 in prize money.

The competition will be fierce with plenty of arrows to be played over the Bank Holiday weekend and expect changes to the rankings with high show ups at tournaments in Middlesbrough and Stockton on Tees.

The Worthington Champion of Champions also showcases on Saturday at the Depot in Cardiff with Championship Tour winners Lee Budgen, Steve Brown, Adam Smith-Neale and Dan Read all involved with £10,000 available to the winner as well as a seeded spot at the World Darts Open in December.
