Reece Colley and Scott Walters took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day 1 of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Robert Owen in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
Colley, who been a regular fixture at the Super Series in 2022, made his return in taking the early lead in Group C, by completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories over Michael Huntley, Kevin Garcia, Shane McGuirk, Martin Thomas and Mark Graham.
Elsewhere, debutant Mark Graham ended the day in 2nd on 6 points, with three players in Michael Huntley, Shane McGuirk and Martin Thomas sat 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on 4 points each, as Kevin Garcia sits bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Scott Walters took the early lead, after winning three of his four matches on Thursday evening, as he recorded victories over Pete Burgoyne, Richard North and James Hurrell, with his only defeat coming against Jim McEwan.
Elsewhere, Jim McEwan also ended the night on 6 points, but sits behind Walters on leg difference, as James Hurrell sits in 3rd on 4 points, with Pete Burgoyne and Richard North tied joint bottom on 2 points each.
Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Robert Owen in Saturday’s finale, with Colley and Walters taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 9:30am GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
