Osborne Out Front

Colin Osborne maintained his position at the top of the table on Tuesday, after winning four of his five matches on Day 2 and looks set to secure his place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.

Osborne, who entered Tuesday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group A, won four matches from five again, as he recorded victories over Jelle Klaasen, Arron Monk, Gavin Carlin and Nathan Girvan, with his only defeat coming against Dan Read, to sit on 16 points from a possible 20 thus far.

In contrast to his dominant performance on Monday, The Wizard, a Darts World contributor, seemed to delight in coming through tough games, taking a full seven legs to edge out both Jelle Klassen and Nathan Girvan.

Elsewhere, Arron Monk and Jelle Klaasen are both tied on 12 points each, as the pair sit 2^nd and 3^rd respectively, with Nathan Girvan sat in 4^th on 10 points, Dan Read in 5^th on 8 points, and Gavin Carlin bottom on 2 points.

The Modus Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Osborne leading the way thus far.

Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups for Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray.

Play will begin at 9:30am GMT on Wednesday and will be streamed live on The Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
